PUENTE’s College and Career Program closes the opportunity gap for over 700 youth aged 14-24 as they persist through high school, post-secondary education, and the workplace. 95% of students are low-income Latinos.
COLLEGE ACCESS
The College Access program supports high school students to graduate and transition to college. We partner with three local schools—Mendez High School, Roybal Learning Center, and MSTMA at Roosevelt High School—to reach 400+ students through weekly in-school workshops and case management to build competency in college preparation, career exploration, technology, leadership and personal development, and job readiness. The program also includes dedicated scholarships, campus tours, summer sessions, and an annual career fair.

COLLEGE SUCCESS
The College Success Program provides individual case management, scholarships, and cohort convenings for 100+ post-secondary students who completed the College Access program, with a college persistence rate of over 90%.
PUENTE NExT
PUENTE NExT – Navigating Education and Transitions provides extended mentoring, building social networks, and targeted communications and events, providing connections for long-term outcomes and personal economic success. College graduates receive these additional supports as they enter the workforce as young professionals and consider furthering their education in Masters and Doctoral programs.

CAREER EXPLORATION
Through hands‑on workshops, mentorship, job readiness training, and opportunities like campus tours and career fairs, students gain exposure to various fields and build the confidence, insight, and skills needed for their future. Career Exploration helps bridge the gap from high school to postsecondary education and into the workforce, helping students sustain persistence and thrive.
Open to all high school students.
