We are excited to offer this scholarship opportunity to our graduating Escalera program high school seniors.
 
Please read criteria and requirements carefully before filling out the form.
 

* This application must be received by 11:59 pm on Friday, April 11, 2025 to be considered for a scholarship award.

Scholarship winners will be notified the week of May 2. 

Who can apply:
   – PUENTE 2024-2025 12th Grade Escalera Program Participants (MSTMA – Escalera, Mendez HS – Escalera, Roybal LC – AEE Students)

   – Will be attending an accredited college/university as a full time student for Fall 2025
 

Documents/files you need before submitting application

  1. Explain in a video no longer than two minutes or essay no longer than one page double spaced (Times New Roman, 12 Font): Tell us about your background and interests. Describe a challenge you have faced in your life and how you overcame it. How has this experience shaped your educational and career goals, and how will attending college help you achieve them?
  2. One letter of recommendation from someone who can speak highly of you. This can be a counselor, coach, supervisor, teacher, or other adult who knows you well (not family members).
  3. Submit your Statement of intent to Register (SIR), which will be your commitment of enrollment to the school of your choosing. 
By filling out this scholarship application and if you are one of our scholarship winners you are committing to:
* Being part of our virtual College Success Program – Avanzando Through College for the 2025-2026 school year. Our Avanzando Through College Program offers monthly workshops and one-on-one meetings to help you navigate your first year in college. We provide care packages, micro-scholarships, and other resources to students that are part of our College Success Program.
