PUENTE’s summer session has gone virtual this year due to Covid-19. This year more than ever, summer bridge learning helps close the achievement gap by mitigating “learning loss.” Our children’s summer camp is bringing daily STEAM-based instruction to 100 TK-6th grade students from PUENTE Charter School as well as other neighborhood schools. The College and Career program is serving 55 high school and college students in topics ranging from volunteer and internship opportunities to getting used to college life. Our adult education classes are serving over 160 ESL and workforce development students this summer, leading the way with meaningful online engagement and an outstanding attendance rate.
