College Access
High school students receive year-round STEM education as well as college preparation support, offered in partnership with the Keck School of Medicine. The program is offered at no cost to students, with a curriculum that features health career guest speakers, college visits, and internships.
High school students at our partner schools, Roybal Learning Center and Mendez High School, receive weekly lessons on preparing for college and career exploration. Seniors receive assistance with college admissions and financial aid workshops, while juniors receive SAT preparation to guide and empower them to a successful transition to college.
College Success
PUENTE is in its second year providing a College Success program for the 2020-21 academic year to support low-income students of color, with the goal of a 100% college graduation rate. Offered at no cost to students, the services will include mentoring, connections to resources, enrichment seminars, internships, and scholarship opportunities.
