PUENTE Preschool Readiness provides an intellectually stimulating environment for children aged three years, nine months to five years old, ensuring that they achieve age-appropriate mastery of reading, writing, math and computer skills while developing high personal expectations and confidence in their abilities to learn and succeed.
PUENTE Charter School serves grades TK-2nd during the 2019-20 school year. The Charter School will be expanding up through 5th grade, adding one grade level each school year through 2022. PUENTE Charter School consistently receives the highest possible ratings from its authorizer, the Los Angeles Unified School District, and has been named a “School of Achievement.” The School combines Common Core State standards curriculum with creative exploration, digital literacy, and parental involvement to help students develop a life-long love of learning.
After School Program
PUENTE’s After School program, in partnership with Think Together, provides homework help and tutoring, an opportunity for students to develop computer skills, and physical activity. Most importantly, PUENTE provides a stable and safe environment for these children and youth to pursue their studies, which many of them lack at home.
PUENTE Summer Adventure Camp is open to neighborhood children in grades 1st – 6th as well as current PUENTE Preschool and Charter School students. The program offers five weeks of stimulating activities that prevent “learning loss” between academic years.
